Old ethnic house in the village of Maradik

The old ethnic house in the village of Maradik is the pride of the entire village. The village of Maradik is only 53 km from Belgrade and is located in the municipality of Inđija, which has 11 villages. Anyone who enters this village for the first time will notice the specific image of a beautifully landscaped and clean place, which its inhabitants modestly maintain with love. In this village, you will not get your shoes dirty with mud, because the concrete paths are placed in the right places where they are needed, both in the center of the village and on its edges.

The ethnic house is located in the middle of the village and from the outside it looks like all the other houses with a freshly painted facade. According to estimates, it is over 150 years old. It was built from piles with a very specific arrangement of rooms, which are needed by a rural household.

In all rooms there are authentic exhibits between 50 and 200 years old. In the yard, which looks like a beautiful park, there are old farm wagons, sleighs, a plow with one and two furrows, a spade, a harrow, a roller, carts... All these items have long since gone out of use. There is also domestic poultry that freely roams the yard. Everything shows the image of a beautiful Sremac household from the distant past.

Maradik has preserved his past in long-printed books that are in a small library. Most of them are in Hungarian, and they are available to every visitor.
